ACE Project Signing Ceremony

The Memorandum of Understanding on the joint Administration and Cost of Elections project was signed at the United Nations in New York by the United Nations Under-Secretary General for Economic and Social Affairs, Mr. Nitin Desai; the Secretary-General of International IDEA, Mr. Bengt Säve-Söderbergh; and the President of the International Foundation for Election Systems, Mr. Richard Soudriette. The project will produce a comprehensive electronic "encyclopedia" of election administration, with a strong emphasis on affordability and sustainability. A beta cd-rom version will be available in September 1998.
