TRANSITIONS

The former President of Finland Martti Ahtisaari was appointed new Board Member to International IDEA at the annual Council meeting in June. Mr Ahtisaari is also Co-Chairman of the New York-based EastWest Institute and Chairman of the International Crisis Group, Brussels.

Kate Sullivan, Australia, joined the Institute in July as Assistant Programme Officer (The Normative Division)

José María Aranaz, Spain, joined the Institute in September as Executive Officer (Secretary-General's Office)

Gerald Mitchell, UK, joined the Institute in September as Senior Executive (Capacity-Building)

Bela Selendy, USA, joined the Institute in September as Webmaster (Information Division)

Margot Gould, Australia, joined the Institute in September as Project Assistant for the Nigeria Project (Capacity-Building)
