The Bridge Project: Developing a Curriculum for Election Administrators

Implemented in partnership between International IDEA, the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), and the United Nations Electoral Assistance Division (UN-EAD), the Building Resources in Democracy, Governance & Elections (BRIDGE) project has developed and implemented a short-course curriculum for election administration. The aim of the BRIDGE Project is to provide a forum and resources for developing expertise in electoral administration and to enhance the sustainability of electoral processes by developing the capacity of a trained corps of professionals.

A draft curriculum has been developed and tested with good result in for example East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Australia.
