Plenary Sessions

28th and 29th of June 2001

The plenary sessions set the stage for the Democracy Forum and the subsequent workshops by presenting facts, arguments and statistics on the digital divide and thereby providing an overall conceptual foundation for the Forum. The first two plenary sessions cultivated considerations, questions and suggestions to examine the implications of the information and communication technology (ICT) revolution for democracy and its core values. The final plenary session brought the discussions of the prior days into precise focus through the presentation of policy recommendations.
